Electric Aggregation Program - Ending June 2026

Energy Alliances recently completed a review of electric supply rates in comparison with AEP Ohio and Ohio Edison’s default generation rates for June 2026 and beyond. After evaluating available supplier offers, we were unable to secure a price and product (renewable energy component) that Council wanted to move forward with.

What This Means for You

  • The City’s electric aggregation program will end in June 2026.

  • All accounts currently enrolled in the program will automatically return to the local utility’s (AEP Ohio or Ohio Edison) default generation supply.

  • No action is required on your part for this transition.

Looking Ahead

Energy Alliances will continue to monitor electricity market conditions for a price and product that meets Council expectations. If we are able to do so, we will recommend restarting the aggregation program and will share updates with the community.

If you have questions about your electric bill or the transition, please contact Energy Alliances.
