Due to a delay in Duke Energy's rate-setting process, Energy Alliances was unable to secure a new electric aggregation rate that could be guaranteed to be lower than Duke's default generation rate. Energy Alliances recommended to the Community that all accounts currently enrolled in the aggregation program return to Duke Energy when the term ends in May 2025.

No action is required from program participants; Duke Energy will notify you once your account has been transitioned back.

Energy Alliances will continue to monitor market prices and will advise the community to restart the electric aggregation program if a lower rate than Duke's is found.
